About the Author
Jessica Upmeier, B. A., wurde 1986 in Bielefeld geboren. Nach ihrem Abitur absolvierte sie eine Ausbildung zur Sortimentsbuchhändlerin. Das daran anschließende Bachelor-Studium der Buchwissenschaft und Germanistik an der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz schloss sie 2012 mit der hier vorliegenden Arbeit (Benotung: 1,3) ab. Neben dem Studium arbeitete Jessica Upmeier als studentische Hilfskraft in unterschiedlichen Projekten für das Institut der Buchwissenschaft, u. a. als Mitarbeiterin für die von der European Booksellers Federation in Auftrag gegebene Studie „On the Interoperability of eBook Formats" (http://www.europeanbooksellers.eu/sites/default/files/press_release/2013-05-16/interoperability_ebooks_formats_pdf_13599.pdf). Die Stipendiatin des Deutschlandstipendiums und Preisträgerin des Leukert-Preises für die beste Seminararbeit des Deutschen Instituts in der Neueren Literaturgeschichte 2011 setzt ihr Studium der Buchwissenschaft seit 2012 im Master-Studiengang fort.
